Dear Georgetown Little League Parents,

I wanted to announce that GTLL will have in-person registration at Faith Baptist Church (6600 Trier Road, next to Georgetown Little League) this Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 10-1.  Registration will be in the lobby.  We will also have another in-person registration at Faith Baptist on Saturday, February 18.

Why come to in-person registration?

1. For those having trouble with registration or needing to figure out how to register, this is a great opportunity to come in and be assisted with the registration process.
2. If you have questions about jersey and hat size, you can try on jerseys and hats to determine the size to select (if you already completed your registration, we can make the change in the system if you need to change the size selected).
3. For ALL players, parents can come to submit the necessary paperwork (birth certificate, information supporting your address like utility bills, school forms, etc.) in person rather than on-line.
4. Paperwork is an important part of the process. Even for those in Rookie (T Ball/Coaches Pitch), getting the information filed now takes care of the need to submit that information in the future as long as you do not change addresses or schools.
5. In addition, if your child is fortunate enough to be selected for an all-star team, this information is required in order for them to be allowed to play on that all-star team. The key is that we have to show proof that your address or the school that the child attends is in our district.
6. In-person dates offers you the ability to ask questions about Georgetown, the length of the regular season and subsequent tournaments, which division to select for your child, and if you are interested in coaching or volunteering, you can inquire about that as well.

Registration On-Line – For those that still wish to register on-line, you go to Georgetownbaseball.net.  Once on the home page, you select Register (for those new to the league) or Login (for those in returning to Georgetown).  Those buttons can be found in the upper right corner of the home page.

NEW in 2023 – Equipment Donation

Do you have baseball equipment that you no longer have a need for as your children get older?  If so, you can drop off used bats (USA Baseball label only), gloves, baseball belts and cleats/spikes.  The board wanted to do this to help families who want their children to play baseball but maybe challenged with purchasing equipment to play.  Our plan is to collect this equipment whether at in-person registration or tryouts.  We would organize the equipment and make it available, for free, at our tryout locations and possibly parent's night.

3. Registration closes on February 28, 2023.Registration must be complete by that date.
4. Tryouts for Prep Divisions on up – March 4, 11, 18, 2023 – Times to be determined soon.
5. Parents Nights – Later in March – To be determined soon.
6. Umpire Clinics (Mainly ages 13-16) – March 5, 12, and 19, 2023 – Faith Baptist Church (2-4)
7. Coaches Clinic – March 26, 2023 – Faith Baptist Church – (1-4, 1-1:30 First Aid Portion)
8. First Games – April 17, 2023
9. Opening Day – April 23, 2023
10. 50th Anniversary Celebration – Date and events to be determined
11. Tin Caps Game – April 30, 2023
