Dear Georgetown Little League Parents,

Field Maintenance Days – Next Two Saturdays – 4/8 and 4/15
Just a reminder that our two Field Maintenance Days are coming up the next two Saturdays, April 8 and 15.  Please come and help if you can as there is still plenty of work to be done to get the fields ready for play starting April 17.  With Spring finally deciding to show up, this is a great time to get outside and help with the preparation.  Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.  We may post a list of projects in the next few days.  Suggest that you arrive around 10 am each Saturday.

A big thank you to the individuals that came out in the lousy weather this past Saturday to clean out the old garbage providers bins and put the new garbage providers bins to good use, plus work on other projects.  A special thanks to those Georgetown players that came out to help:  Myles Shovlin, Theodore Price, Jacob Planck, Nolan and Ian Kennerk.  It is great to see the players themselves be part of the effort so they get a small understanding of what it takes to get the fields ready.  If we missed someone, we do apologize.

Parent's Night Notes
First, thank you to those parent's and players that made it to the meeting.  The attendance was fantastic.  For those that were not able to make the Parent's Night, here are the cliff notes from the meeting.

1. Even with Rookie and Prep numbers up, there are still spots available in those two divisions if anyone is interested in registering their child(ren) for those divisions.
2. Discussed the new vendor for our concessions.  Game pops are back by popular demand.
3. Now that the season is starting, please direct your questions to either your coach or the VP of the division your child plays in. You can find that list on the website under About GCLL, then clicking on the Board of Directors.  For questions about Rookie division, you can reach out to the coach and they can reach out to Chris.
4. Key Dates coming up:
   • First Games – April 17 for Majors and Minors, April 19 for Rookie and April 22 for Prep
   • Picture Day is April 22
   • 50^th Anniversary Celebration – April 29
   • Georgetown Little League Day at Tin Caps – April 30
5. 50^th Anniversary – Fine tuning on the plans is still ongoing. There will be games, fireworks, food trucks and swag.
6. Discussed weather delays and cancellations – Assume the games are being played unless told by your coach that your game is cancelled.
7. Paperwork – If anything outstanding, see Vonda
8. Discussed equipment – Bats must have the USA Baseball Label.
9. Helmets – Minors and Prep – Must have masks. That is a Georgetown rule.
10. Little League Rulebook App – If you want it, it is Free.
11. Discussed District 10 and Georgetown expectations for adults, players and children.
12. Background checks for required for all volunteers involved with the players.
13. Georgetown, Faith Baptist and the old bank parking – Stay off the grass please
