Q.  When does registration occur?
A.  Registration on-line is open until February 28, 2023.  The dates and time for this season’s walk-up registration are still to be determined.  Attempting to work again with Faith Baptist Church.  The church is located at 6600 Trier Road. 

Q.  If I registered online, how do I provide you my child's proof-of-birthdate (i.e. birth certificate) and proof-of-residence or school report card/enrollment form?
A.  Once you register online, your registration is finalized only when we can verify your child's proof-of-birthdate and proof of residence (showing you reside within our boundaries or your child attends school within the boundaries).  ALL players must provide a proof-of-age document (i.e. birth certificate) and proof-of-residence to be eligible to play in the upcoming season.
Proof of residency documents include:

1. Driver’s License
2. Voter’s Registration
3. School records
4. Welfare/child care records
5. Federal records
6. State records
7. Local (municipal) records
8. Support payment records
9. Homeowner or tenant records
10. Utility bills (i.e., gas, electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)
11. Financial (loan, credit, investments, etc.) records
12. Insurance documents
13. Medical records
14. Military records
15. Internet, cable or satellite records
16. Vehicle records
17. Employment records

First quarter school grade card (must be official - no progress/mid-term reports) or school enrollment form can be used in lieu of residency documents.

Q.  How old does my child need to be to play?
A.  Please find the Age Calculator under Links on the homepage to determine your child’s league age.

Q.  What are the registration fees?
A.  Registration fees vary depending on level of play and also a League Fundraiser Fee includes 4 tickets to the TinCaps game at Parkview Field.

Q.  What are the league boundaries?

A.  League boundaries include those who live or attend school in zip codes 46805 and 46815.  It also includes portions of the 46774 (New Haven) and 46797 (Woodburn) zip codes.  Please find the league boundary map link here.

Q.  What does my registration include?
A.  Your registration includes a cap and t-shirt/jersey to keep. You will need to supply white baseball plants, a glove, and cleats or field shoes for your player. It is recommended each player have their own baseball bat and batting helmet.  A face mask is required on batting helmets for players in Prep and Minors.

Q.  Does my child need to tryout? When will tryouts be held?

A.  Tryouts will be held March 4, 11, and 18, 2023 at GTLL, weather permitting.  Possible indoor tryouts will be arranged if necessary. 

Q.  What forms of payment do you accept?
A.  For online registration, Visa and Mastercard are accepted.  For walk-up registration, credit card, check and cash are acceptable forms of payment.

Q.  Is there a fee to register or pay online?
A.  There is a one-time $3 fee are charged for online registration.

Q.  Will you hold a "walk-up" registration date?
A.  Attempting to work with Faith Baptist Church for walk-up registration in January and February.

Q.  Do you provide discounts?

A.  For families with multiple players, the registration fees for each player after the first player is reduced $50.

Q.  Are there additional volunteer requirements?

A.  All volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer application.  This application must be approved through background check and league acceptance.

Q.  When will I be contacted by my new team manager?
A.  You should hear from managers/coaches after our tryouts and the draft in later March.  Rookie league teams will likely be formed around April 1st.

Q.  Are you accepting manager & coach applications, too?

A.  The league will accept manager and coach applications online and at the walk-up registration.  Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the appropriate League VP to find out more information.  The list of league VPs can be found under About GCLL > Board of Directors

Q.  I'm presented with multiple division options for registration. Which division should I choose?

A.  See the following information on what to do for registration…

            Age 3 or 4:  Sign up for Rookie – Tee Ball

            Age 5 and never played:  Sign up for Rookie Tee Ball
            Age 5 and played Tee Ball:  Sign up for Rookie Coach Pitch
            Age 6 and never played:  Sign up for Rookie – Coach Pitch
            Age 6 and played Coach Pitch last year:  Sign up for Prep
            Age 7:  Sign up for Prep   
            Age 8:  Sign up for Prep
            Age 9:  Sign up for Minors
            Age 10-12:  Sign up for Majors
    
Age 13:  Sign up for Intermediate (50/70) - 13 only
            Age 14:  Sign up for Juniors - 14 only
            Age 15, 16:  Sign up for Seniors

Q.  I signed up but decided not to Play, how can I request a REFUND?
A.  Please contact the league treasurer for processing a refund.  Refunds can take 2-3 weeks to process.  Refund Policy

Q.  When do I find out about team placement?
A. The latter part of March or early April
