Dear Georgetown Little League Parents,
Field Maintenance Day - Saturday 4/15
Reminder that our final Field Maintenance Day is tomorrow, Saturday April 15. Please come and help if you can as there is still plenty of work to be done to get the fields ready for play starting April 17. It looks like it will be a beautiful day so come and get your tan in mid-season form. Suggest that you arrive around 10 am tomorrow.
Remember, we are trying to get the park in really good order for the Opening Day Celebration on the 4/22 and the 50th Anniversary Celebration on 4/29. The board cannot do this alone and thus your assistance is being requested.
Plumbing update: Work is still being done to fix some plumbing issues in the concession stand. Thus, we may not have water for bathrooms tomorrow. We do apologize for that. We expect that work to be completed by this coming Monday.
Here is just some of the list of projects:
- Painting – Bathrooms, Concessions and Other Parts of the ballpark
- Weed wackers around all of the fences and bullpens
- Leaf blow the batting cages to get rid of rocks and other debry
- Rake and shovel dirt, please have the kids stay off the dirt piles
- Fill each shed with chalk and diamond dry
- We are installing a handicap access path for the minors diamond
- Hang sponsor banners and champion banners on the outfield fences
- Clean the rest rooms
- Significant work is still needed to get the Juniors diamond ready to be able to play both Juniors and Intermediate. This includes sod cutting and installing the portable mound.
- Many other projects
Bring any equipment that you have that might aid on these projects.
Players Jerseys and Hats
Most teams are in as of yesterday. The rest are expected today. I know that many parents have been inquiring.
50th Anniversary Performance T-shirts & Hoodies On Sale Tomorrow
Our 50th Anniversary shirts and hoodies are in. The shirts are $20 each and the hoodies are $35. They will be on sale by the garage from 10 am to 1 pm. That way, you can already have your shirt or hoodie for the Opening Day and 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
