Dear Georgetown Little League Parents,
Opening Day – Picture Day – Saturday April 22
Tomorrow is our official opening day. We hope that we will be able to play but everything is dependent on the weather. We will make that determination tomorrow morning and throughout the day. Please be patient and understanding as our goal is to get as many games in tomorrow. Yet, we do not want to push back the start time of games for a long period if playing conditions are not good at that time of the day.
PICTURES – Rookie Thru Major Divisions
Pictures will take place tomorrow for almost all the teams in those divisions no matter the weather. There are a couple of teams that will wait to take pictures as a result of some jersey fixes that need to be made and those coaches know who those teams are. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your picture time.
We will be taking the pictures in the basement of Faith Baptist Church which is adjacent to Georgetown Little League. You can fill out the order form ahead of time if you received a form from your coach. Otherwise, there will be additional forms in the basement. Also, you can order on-line.
Please have your kids wear tennis shoes for pictures. They can put their cleats on at the field after pictures.
Parking – Please stay off the grass at Faith Baptist, bank and Georgetown properties. For the most part, we have been following this request but there were a few cars parked on the grass both at Faith Baptist and Georgetown this past Wednesday.
Tin Cap Tickets
Tomorrow, we will also be giving the coaches the tickets to hand out for the April 30 Tin Caps game which is Georgetown Little League day at the ballpark. The oldest child (player) in each family receives 4 tickets. If you are unable to attend on the game, please hand the tickets back to your coach so they can hand them back in. This helps us reduce costs and put that money back into Georgetown Little League.
50th Anniversary Dry fit & Cotton T-shirts, Hoodies On Sale Tomorrow
Our 50th Anniversary shirts and hoodies will be on sale again tomorrow at our garage. The shirts are $20 each and the hoodies are $35. That way, you can already have your shirt or hoodie for the 50th Anniversary Celebration next week on Saturday, April 29. The hoodies could be in good use tomorrow as the temperatures will be in the 40's and 50's.
In addition, our 50th anniversary pins have arrived and will be on sale. Each registered player will receive a pin on April 29 when they attend. However, for those interested in having more pins (coaches, former players/coaches, parents, grandparents, etc.), please stop by and purchase as many as you would like. The cost of the pins are $5 each.
