Dear Georgetown Little League Parents,
Tryout Times – March 23rd
Location: Hupe Fieldhouse is located at 7011 Stellhorn Road.
Please be safe and patient while parking as there will be a number of people coming and going. Please stay off the grass. We suggest that you car pool or park down at Messiah Lutheran Church if the parking lot at Hupe becomes full. You are also welcome to drop your child off and pick up later.
The schedule (NOTE the time changes) is as follows: (try to arrive 15 minutes prior to get your child's number in the entrance area of the facility):
9:30 am – 6 and 7 year olds
10:30 am – 8 year olds
11:00 am – 9 year olds
12:00 pm – 10 and 11 year olds
1:00 pm-1:30 pm – 13-15 year olds – Only players new (have not played at Georgetown in 2 years, a clarification) to Georgetown Spring baseball
Majors protects that have not played fulltime in Majors previously must tryout. Prep and Minors Protects do not need to attend tryouts.
Reminder, if your child attended the tryouts on the 16th, they should not come on the 23rd.
Tball/Rookie Parents
Reminder for parents of the Rookie (Tball and Coaches Pitch) Division, those children do not tryout.
Parents Night – Blackhawk Christian – March 26th
Parent's night will be at Blackhawk Christian, the large gym. Tball/Rookie and Prep will be from 6-7. Minors and Majors will be from 7-8.
PREP and MINORS Players – Batting Helmets Need Masks
We noticed at tryouts that there were a number of players in the Prep and Minor Levels (Ages 6-11) that did not have masks on the helmet. At Georgetown, the masks are required when we are playing other Georgetown teams.
Majors, Intermediate and Juniors Parents – Hat Measurement!
Please measure your childs head and verify that you have put the correct hat size in the registration system FOR the 2024 Season. Please measure (including their normal hair style) using the following Flexfit Hat guide:
XS (6 1/2-6 7/8) – In Registration System – Youth XS (Added to Registration System)
S/M (7-7 3/8) – In Registration System – YS/YM
L/XL (7 3/8-7 7/8) – In Registration System – Youth Large
XXL (7 7/8-8 1/4) – In the Registration System - Adult
For Tball to Minors, they will get the snap back (adjustable) hats.
